Tomorrow is going to be an exiting day :) The Norwegian Gang is getting a new family member. Her name is Nanna. She is almost 4 years old and needed a new home. Tomorrow she gets one here at the farm :)
The Basset love their new farm mates, the Lambs:9 They take really good care of the, clean and groom the little fur balls, or rather, the little wool balls, lolol
It has been a long time since I was here last. WAY too much has happened, to tell you all everything. Winters have come and gone, good and bad things have happened. My beloved Ludvig went to the Bridge this spring, at 9 and a half years old. But all the others are going strong :)
An aquaintance of mine took loads of pics during a visit this summer. I received them on a CD as a christmas present. A wonderful gift. Here are some of the gang trying to catch me.
He wasn`t ill, wasn`t in pain, he behaved just like it was a normal day.
He played with his sister, chased the cats away from his spot. Then, he laid down next to his momma, head on one paw and fell asleep..........and never woke up again.
In Norway, it is WAAAYYYYY to early to decorate for Christmas. The only thing we do, is place a star in our window for the first Sunday in Advent....
But I have many good friends in the US, and there, decorating starts imideatly after Thanksgiving.
This year, I feel inspired to go International. So I have started my Christmas decorating early. I will NOT put the tree up yet. I always have a natural tree and it would probaby loose all the green needles before Cristmas then. It wouldn not be a pretty sight come x-mas eve.
My youngest Basset, Todd was wondering about what on earth the new stuff in the window was... Luckily , he didn`t singe his nose. All the ornaments in the window, are for burning t-candles inside.......
An English artist named William ( Billy) Jamison has made the most wonderful watercolour of my Todd.
Jamison lives in England and does gorgeous work. He also loves dogs and does watercolours and pil paintings of all kinds of breeds. His love for dogs really show in his work!
He also does work on comission, for very reasonable prices.
He has somehow managed to crawl INSIDE the covers on the doggie bed ......and he has poked a hole in the covers, just large enough to fit his face through.
